Travel Tips

Money:
Best to use an ATM card. If you lose your wallet, you can always replace the card. If you run out, Dad or Mom can top up.
Tips to parents: top up the account each week. This teaches your son or daughter to budget.

Clothing:
Bring enough for one week. There are laundry facilities available on the university campus.
Dress as you would for summer here but bring a light waterproof windbreaker and sweater.
Bring some semi-formal wear for visits to the theatre and for the end of tour banquet.
Bring a swimsuit and towel as there will be opportunities for supervised swimming.

Toiletries
They are cheaper to buy in North America, so bring enough for the month.

Batteries
Also cheaper here, so bring a good supply.

Laptops
Not necessary as we have lots of internet access on the university campus.

Cell-phones
It is possible to buy SIM cards in Ireland, but make sure that you can install them in your phone. Check with your manufacturer. There are phones in the apartment.

Electrical Devices
Electrical Current: 220 Volts. If you are bringing a hair dryer or curler, you will need either one that is adaptable to that voltage or some sort of transformer. The wall plugs are also different so an adapter is needed. These can be purchased at an electronics store or at the airport.

School Supplies
Bring a pen, paper and binder; everything else is provided
